In the beginning I wanted to convey a feeling of great sadness and loss...something to express the way I was feeling at the time...but by the time this piece was finished it ended up looking somewhat science fictiony/fantasy like...well..anyway, it looks dark to me.

If anyone can think of suggestions for the wing placement let me know...I feel like they were a bit off...but suggestions on anything will be appreciated. Thanks.

I LOVE this picture!!! It has such a rough, broken apart feeling. It does have a saddened feeling, but I don't think you should have had wings at all.. it just doesn't seem to fit. Other than that, great job!

Thank you for your comment. :) I guess I added wings because of the title, Naiad means water nymph or something Greek. I remember looking it up, but can't remember the exact definition. Thanks again.
